The Minor Food Group has the franchise rights to a number of other international brands for Thailand. Although we are not able to expand them beyond Thailand, they meaningfully contribute to the earnings of the Minor Food Group and they have significant potential for long term growth in Thailand. These brands include Dairy Queen, Burger King and Sizzler and together they account for almost 15% of the Minor Food Group’s net profit.

Dairy Queen
Dairy Queen began in 1938 with an all you can eat trial sale of a then unnamed soft frozen dairy product at a ice cream shop in Kankakee, Illinois. The product was “soft serve” ice cream and 60 years later, Dairy Queen is a global brand and one of the largest restaurant operators in the world with more than 6,000 restaurants operating in more than 20 countries worldwide. The Minor Food Group introduced Dairy Queen to Thailand in 1992 and today, it owns and operates more than 200 Dairy Queen outlets. In 2008, the Minor Food Group was selected by Dairy Queen to open the first Dairy Queen Grill & Chill in Asia.

Burger King
Like Dairy Queen, Burger King is also a global brand with more than 12,000 restaurants operating in more than 60 countries. The Minor Food Group is pleased to be the Burger King franchisee for Thailand where it currently owns and operates more than 20 restaurant outlets.   

Sizzler
Sizzler has been around since 1957 when it was first launched as a self service budget steakhouse. Over the years, Sizzler has evolved as a concept from one that is entirely self service to one that combines the best features of self service and table service.  Sizzler offers a self service salad bar that few can copy and a wide range of grilled dishes including steak, seafood, chicken, ribs, combination meals and burgers. The Minor Food Group is pleased to be the Sizzler franchisee for Thailand where it currently owns and operates more than 20 restaurant outlets.
